We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Athletics Training Coordinator to provide leadership to the Athletic Training Team and oversee the growth of the Athletic Training Services area, while ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the Athletic Training Zone and related training functions are exceeding customer expectations. This exciting position is an integral part of the Experience Providers department – a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the integration of physical activity, proper nutrition and positive attitude to advance the benefits of sport and healthy lifestyles for all ages and abilities.
Responsibilities
- Leadership, administration, marketing, and strategic development for athletic training services
- Provide leadership to all athletic trainers as well as further develop operating standards
- Assist with the implementation of technical and administrative inservices to athletic training staff
- Exceed customer service standards
- Administration and implementation of Coaching Network
- Lead and develop the services of the Sport Partner Strategy
- Actively contribute to facility-wide teamwork and collaboration
- Communicate effectively and professionally
- Participate in individual and team meetings within the Experience Providers and Sales and Marketing Teams
- Oversee the day to day operations of the Athletic Training Zone
- Oversee the purchase, repair and maintenance of all Athletic Training Zone equipment
- Demonstrate superior customer engagement and service skills
- Network with competitive facilities within and external to Canadian centres searching for new trends in athletic services.
- Provide weekly/monthly quantifiable stat reports in the areas of customer service and customer numbers, staff, financials, budget, equipment, etc.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate has excellent leadership, customer service, communication and time management skills. A degree in Kinesiology or a related field along with a minimum of two years experience in a training capacity, and a minimum of two years experience in a sport administration role with experience in project based work is required. Preference will be given to candidates with additional certifications as well as sales and marketing experience. Current CPR Level C and Standard First Aid are also required. Superior problem solving skills, an ability to work well independently and as a team player, a flair for multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment and a positive attitude will ensure success.
