The School of Human Kinetics continues to move ahead, establishing itself as a leader in a discipline devoted to a comprehensive and systematic study of movement behaviour.
As a school within the Faculty of Education, we offer a student-centered approach to learning that emphasizes interdisciplinary studies and subject integration. Newly accredited by the Canadian Council of University Physical Education and Kinesiology Administrators (CCUPEKA), The School of Human Kinetics at UBC looks forward to building on its reputation and providing our students with an exceptional learning environment in the study and practice of human movement.
A recently revised undergraduate curriculum provides our students the opportunity to design a program of study in one of three different streams leading to a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (BHK) degree: Kinesiology and Health Science; Physical and Health Education; or Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Kinetics.
The School of Human Kinetics also continues to attract top students to its highly regarded graduate program where we offer studies at both the masters and doctoral level. Graduate students are mentored by some of the top teachers and researchers in the field of human movement.
