The
Exercise Physiology Laboratory, located in the Allan
McGavin Sports Medicine Centre,
provides facilities for undergraduate and graduate courses,
and student and faculty research in clinical and applied
research in exercise physiology. Equipment includes: medical
graphic exercise testing and pulmonary function apparatus;
an 8-channel A/D data acquisition system; blood analysis
equipment, including an automated lactate analyzer; gas
analysis instruments; treadmill; cycle, kayak, rowing and
wheelchair ergometers; and a terminal link to the University's
mainframe computers.
