Part-time Gymnastics Instructors
Part-time Program Volunteers
The
UBC School of Human Kinetics Gymnastics Centre is looking
for mature individuals to coach, or to volunteer
in, a recreational gymnastics and minor sports program. Successful
candidates will be expected to teach recreational/educational
gymnastics and minor sport programs to pre-school
and school aged children. Other tasks include: preparing
daily and
sessional lesson plans, completing term-end progress
reports, and the set-up/take down of gymnastics equipment
for specific
classes.
Skills Required and/or Recommended:
• NCCP Level 1 Gymnastics Coaching Certification.
• Previous coaching/teaching experience preferred.
• Experience in dealing with pre-school and teenaged children
or special populations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
or in a team environment.
Preference will be given to:
• UBC Human Kinetics and UBC Education Students
• Those pursuing a career in physical education or recreation.
Pay:
• Commensurate to skill, certification level and experience
This is also
a UBC Work Study Position
